Racing

Approaching the last curve. Got to be careful. Use the gear correct. Yes, that went well. Now it should be a simple task to keep the other cars behind me and stay in the lead all the way to the finishing line...

More info

Racing is, of course, a racing game. Place the cars on the start line, roll the die and be first to the finish line. The game board consists of 126 squares from start to finish. Roll the die and move your car as many squares as the die shows. If you land on a square with star, draw an event card. Examples of event cards:
  • Drive back to the start line
  • There is something wrong with your steering wheel. Miss your next turn
  • You have driven this track before and you know it. Advance 5 squares
Other squares have text that tells what happens when you land on them, for instance:
  • You drive perfectly through the first curve. You get an extra die roll
  • Trouble with the engine. Move 10 squares backwards
  • You have got a warning. Roll a 1 to continue

Who wins?

Winner is the player who first gets to the last square, but the game continues until all players have finished.

"Snakes & Ladders"

This game from the early 70's is just a little more advanced version of "Snakes & Ladders" and can be played by very young children - as long as they have someone to read the event cards for them. (I think I was only four when I got this game).
