The spinner is spinning. Where will it stop? On the red field? I place my red marker on the board - the spinner is going to stop here - I can feel it. Oh no, it went over to the blue field! Too bad, Lasse will go up in the lead with three new pieces.

Before the game starts each player gets four bet markers, one of each color (red, orange, purple and blue), Each pig is made up of eight pieces and these are all placed in the bank.
When it's a players turn he spins the spinner on the game board. The game board consists of a purple field in the middle and 12 other fields around it. The 12 other fields are 6 orange, 3 blue and 3 red - all marked with a number from one to three. While the spinner spins all players put down a marker that match the color of the field they believe the spinner will stop on. The players who guessed the right color receives from the bank one, two or three pieces of the pig - the number of pieces being determined by the number marked on the actual field the spinner stopped on. The winner is the player who first gets a whole pig, i.e. gets all 8 pieces.
VariantA variant of the game is that before the player start the spinner, all players put down one marker - face down. Then you start the spinner and all players put down another marker - face up. If they have the right color on the marker they put down the second time, they receive piece(s) from the bank, but if the field the spinner stopped on matches the first marker a player put down, he might take pieces from the player sitting to the left of him. With this extra rule the game gets more exciting. SummaryI cannot remember that I've ever played this game (it's my sisters). It looks kinda fun, but I think that would last only the first couple of games. All in all it kind of reminds me of roulette.Reader comments |
