Emil

Let me see, it's my turn. I pick up the die and roll. Yes, I got a 5. This means that I got away from the square that would sent me to the woodshed. Catching up on James who is leading right now.

More info

Emil is a childrens game about the character that we know from Astrid Lindgrens books. The players places their counter on START and rolls the die in turn and moves along on the game board. The goal is to be the first player around the game board.

Along the route there are 8 red squares placed along the game board. If a player lands on one of these he will be sent to the "woodshed". The woodshed is a sqare on the middle of the game board. A player who is in the woodshed will need to go an extra 15-20 squares before he is back on the main route again.

Winning the game

The player who first reaches the last square is declared the winnner.

Emil is a typical roll-the-die-and-move-ahead-game. The only thing that is different between this game and Snakes & Ladders is that it is Astrid Lindgrens characters you play with. This game has not been for sale since the seventies and I can't say that it is any loss.

Laura:
i think this game is ok, but i have some better ideas for you. trust me they will be perfect.
Einar:
Ahhh. Dette spillet elsket jeg.
Steven Damm:
My Father and Grandfather are both named Emil Damm ... does anyone know what Nationality this game is from? Grandpa lived in Bornholm in Denmark prior to moving to America.
